China’s Search Engine Under Fire

Apparently China is once again the center of controversy when it comes to policies concerning blog and forum content China’s leading internet search engine, Baidu.

Of course China’s willingness to promote Internet censorship has been a well-known story for quite some time now. But the scandal surrounding Baidu’s advertisements for unlicensed medical services is probably news to most people in the West. Baidu says that employees that have since been dismissed forged documents for unlicensed medical practitioners.
