Precast Concrete and Infrastructure
Sure, construction activity is way down this year, especially in areas like Phoenix and Las Vegas, which were officially in recession starting a year ago (about a year before the rest of the country experienced the same slump). And sure, the situation in Arizona and Nevada has not hit bottom yet. (I heard that one construction company sold its equipment to pay its employees.) But one Precast Concrete company, Jensen Precast, is expanding operations and may continue to do so now that President Obama’s economic stimulus package has passed the Congress and Senate. The economic package contains quite a bit of money for infrastructure, much of which will contain quite a lot of precast concrete components.
And when the housing industry returns to its normal growth mode in a year or two, a growing demand for Precast Concrete Septic Tanks will reappear as population centers continue to expand.
