Why doesn’t a valid ABN guarantee a .COM.AU registration?

Because the ABN or ACN is only part of the eligibility check. The requested .com.au name also has to meet the .au allocation rules and have the required connection to the registrant.

auDA has approved in principle a recommendation to remove goods, services, events, activities or premises as allocation bases, but that change is not in force yet.

Has anyone here had a valid Australian business still get a .com.au rejected?
